I am wondering if you have any suggestions for preflighting of PDF files that now are being used in the cad industry. I am getting a lot of files that people are outputting that don't conform to Adobe standards eg export to PDF form applications or just incorrect distiller setting. Of course they create problems when you try and print them using a controller that runs an adobe certified interpreter. Some files I have been able to fix by batch processing through acrobat using our PS driver then redistilling them this can fix about 70 % but the rest are driving me nuts.
EXAMPLE
One customer creates and print pdf files ok. If they send this pdf to other Architects and they make changes and send it back it wont print. I believe this is because they save as pdf instead of creating a pdf. Some times areas of the pdf file will print out as blank or black squares .
Anything you can suggest or allow me to test with a controller would be appreciated.
