The reality is that several printers use windows machines and have bought software to impose material on plates or otherwise. They use PC's. The bulk of prepress material is nowadays pdf-material. It is good to check your material on a PC, read it in acrobat for sometimes there may be hick-ups between the two platforms. Publishers complain sometimes it does not work at it supposed to be working. But if I really had a say, I would say mac os x is more friendlier to do design-work. It is thanks to adobe and its tools the gap has been closing, though the keys work differently under windows.... - Read More at This Link..
