Let me know if this works or not. The error did not occur for earlier versions of Acrobat but started around Acrobat 5 or 6 when opening older some rare PDF files. (1) Open Acrobat or Acrobat Reader and open the menu Edit/Preferences/General/Options. (2) Disable the entry: "Allow fast web view." Save the changes and reopen the web browser and try to view the file again.
